On The Transition From an Assisted Living Facilty to be Closer to Home
I want to thank you for all of the help you and your team gave to my mom while she was in New York. You really helped her to maintain her independence and stay in her own home for as long as she could. This worked out well after her fall two years ago as it felt it was too early to move Mom into an assisted living home. Also, I (we) also really appreciate you making the nudge a few months back that she was ready for some additional help and to move up to Boston. That was a tough call, but you nailed it on the timing, as she was ready. I’m glad we got her up here when we did.
For an update, she is doing great. I think the transition went well. She seems to be really liking the place. She loves the food (she receives three meals a day in the restaurant-style dining room), and her weight is back up to normal. She participates in many of the activities, such as bingo, trivia, etc. My sister and I have been able to see her often.
Thank you so much for everything.
Take Care!

Relief for a Caregiving Daughter
Peacewell Care Consulting met and exceeded my expectations!
My mother had a stroke in 2014. Unfortunately, my brother and I lived out of state at that time. I was familiar with the role of care managers and chose to call to Lori Costello, a geriatric care manager. My first meeting with her changed the life of my mother.
Lori has the global picture of what needs can be filled and the ability to handle the details of the navigating the complexities of health care system. She was in touch with me often, sometimes daily.
She is very professional and deeply compassionate. She made suggestions for services that were on target including an Assisted Living facility and additional care services within the facility. She was an advocate for my mother. She was effectively able to coordinate the care in the facility, medications and out of facility doctors visits. This was complicated, yet Lori made it seem easy.
When it was time for my mother to return to her home with hospice care, Lori coordinated the transition, and her recommendations for equipment and supplies were invaluable. She has tremendous knowledge about local resources. She was aware of insurance regulations and how best to utilize insurance benefits. This potentially saved us a good deal of money and time.
A few months later, as it became clear that my mother was at the end of her life, Lori coordinated superb end of life care. We needed private duty professionals overnight. Lori arranged for certified nurse’s aides that were incredibly skilled and compassionate. Lori provided comfort to my mother as well as for our family, during this very difficult time. Our family will be forever very grateful.
Seriously, I don’t know what we would have done without Lori.
I have great respect for Lori and it is without hesitation that I recommend her to anyone needing services for their loved one.
